Need help folks !
The hard drive on my laptop is taking a fair old battering so I would like to transfer alot of my files to CD. Problem is that I dont have a re-writer however plenty family and friends do. Being a bit of a tight wad I dont want to go and buy one so how do I hook up the 2 PC's to pass my data to their writer ??
Cheers

1. using a laplink type cable to connect 2 PCs together via parallel port, then you can transfer your files over. you can use dial cable connection in windows OS. only con is very slow.
2. using a cross-over cables if both PCs got NIC.
3. laplink type cable but in USB. a lot faster than the parallel options.
if you gonna burn it on cd-r, it is better for the files to be on the local PC, so you will have to copy your files across.
