Okay, so I go to my PC this morning to check my mail to be greeted by the message Warning:Input Signal Out Of Range. Ar$e
I check the AGP GeForce card and notice the fan has stopped spinning and the sticker on the fan is shrivelled and peeling off. Seems to have overheated maybe ?
Next I whip out the card and replace it with an ancient Matrox AGP card, just to get going again, but this doesn't work either
Same message. I'm getting no error beep codes from the mobo, so I reset the bios. Still the same
Anyone got any ideas as to what has happened ? Has my mobo died ? AGP slot knackered ?
Haven't tried an alternative monitor yet, but it seems to be working okay, its just not getting a signal or a dodgy one at that. Can't even see the starup bios info from the graphics card.
Help !!!!

I thought input signal out of range was when you used a refresh rate not supported by the monitor... try a different monitor / or computer first... then try the graphics card in another machine... slot could be knacked and killing cards??? Is the psu working properly? cd drives, and hdd's spinning up? or does the fan on the gfx card take its supply from the card?
your just going to have to swap bits and eliminate them...
What monitor you using

I thought the same about the refresh rates.
Everything else is working fine, drives, PSU etc. Onboard fan takes its supply from the card itself.
Its a Compaq V500 monitor I think. I'll try another monitor on it first before I start kicking it
