IE doesn't always download pictures

For some reason, there are instances when IE6 on my PC won't download the pictures in webpages (just displays the little red X). This only happens with particular websites (e.g. Scoobynet is always fine) and not all the time -- it's just that when it does happen on these websites it will do so again and again until it's rebooted. I'm wondering if it's something to do with ZoneAlarm throwing a wobbly.
Looked on Microsoft Support site and there's no mention. Mozilla works fine but doesn't seem to support the digital certificates that I need for certain sites (banking).

What version of ZoneAlarm are you running? V3+ has a privacy option for ad tracking (I believe) which will block requests that could be tracked.
Have a look at the ZA options and you may be able to turn it off - but I wouldn't
