I believe BT bought out EE so they are using their network, how good is the coverage with BT mobile, do you get strong download and upload speeds ? Would you recommend them ?

I'm thinking of changing provider as my current one which is 3 is a bit hit and miss in the area where we live.

I can tell you that EE are regularly winning awards for having the best network. They were also the first to rollout 4G so probably have the most extensive 4G network.

I moved about 4 weeks ago and so far it's OK - I get better audio quality for the same bars on the signal than with O2 and 4G is stable - I only had occasional 4G with O2, so better as far as I'm concerned.

I moved to BT mobile in December, as I'm a BT broadband customer it cost £10 a month for 3 gb data, 500 mins and unlimited texts. Also got £40 cash back from quidco and £30 Amazon vouchers - so effectively £50 for the year.
Checked 4g speed this afternoon, between 25 and 30 mb, which is 3 times faster than our home broadband (no fibre yet in area).

I wouldn't use BT for anything if they were the only provider out there. I'd rather do without.

My personal experience has been positive. We have home broadband and 4 phones at £10 each for 3gb data. I was with Virgin, but they couldn't supply 4G. BT piggy back EE network as do Virgin.

BT have UK English speaking, recognizable accents customer services and answer pretty quickly.

I have EE on my corp phone and although I live in a village with poor coverage (on all networks)

it is generally pretty good - 4G is fantastic, in fact I don't bother to ask clients what their guest wireless is these days, I just tether to my phone

Got home braodband and their Mobile package with 20gb, find it excellent everywhere except at home where my signal is pants.

Fast 4g and 20gb a month for £16 unlimited talk and texts, a bargain!

BT mobile are crap in my experience. We have them for work, and the signal coverage can be shockingly bad.

It's identical to EE, the network they use.
