OK, someone must be able to help me.
I have a panasonic NVDS33 camcorder (firewire) and I want the pictures (stills) I have taken with it transferred to my pc(2Ghz win2k with IEEE1394 HBA). I do not have panasonic software that was originally sold with the camera.
Have tried Ulead video wizard....load of cr*p dont work with stills.
Any Suggestions?

Hello
The software for your camera uses the serial port to transfer the pictures from the tape to your PC.
If you transfer the whole tape with firewire it's quite difficult to pick out the still pictures.
You can make a cable, I have a diagram somewhere if you are interested, and I have the software if you want it.

Well, the cable layout is here http://www.volny.cz/mkrejcik/dvzone.htm and the software here: www.sadandlonely.com/studiodv.zip a pathetically small 1.7mb, so it wont stress your big pipe too much!

I think I have found the still cable.
The software would be graetly appreciated.
I have a huge pipe here so downloading not a problem,
Alternativley....what's the sw called, perhaps I can find a copy on the web.
