Ave a iphone was wondering which is the best app for editing videos adding effects etc

iMovie on the iPhone is a good start and free.

Depends how deep you want to Go Jay, iMovie is a good things its easy and does the Job, the best for real deep is Adobe premier but its complex/ Pinnacle and Coral both do sub 100 quid packages that do the Job, all depends what you wanna try do..

Looking for as easy to use app as pos, then can always branch out to one thtas more difficult to use

iMovie on the iPhone, very easy even on a small screen.

It's easily worth £4 https://www.apple.com/ios/imovie/ but I did think it was free, sorry. Big downside is the size of your iPhone screen, but you should be able to put together a simple movie, I know I've added titles to a clip on the go and posted straight from the app.
