you need something that will edit the id3 info (i think thats what its called off the top of my head).
Winamp, can do it, just play the mp3 and whilst playing, right click the song and click info then add or change the fields as you wish.
Not so sure if your soundforge will work as never used it.
Would be nice to have an app that you could highlight multiple mp3s and change the artitst and album fields in one go...............

I use DrTag - check it out at www.asterius.org.
It's a limited shareware trial, but it just means you can only write details to 30-or-so MP3s at a go. But you can always stop/restart it.
It's good enough to be worth registering - I'd imagine there might be a crack available, too.
