Microsoft have finally decided to sell the Xbox one without Kinect. Seems that the relatively poor sales of it compared to PS4 have forced their hand.

I haven't played on one, so I can't comment, but have a 360 as well as a PS3, and there wasn't anything to compare really, so I guess people still haven't forgiven them for the pre-release shenannigans about game ownership and always online (despite dropping it), or people just dno't want Kinect?

Yeah sure, Xbox one is released in all the major markets. The millions of units deficit isn't accounted for by that. It just hasn't sold as well, for whatever reason.

That's an intreresting point actually, I suspect that people don't want Kinect 2.0, but quite possibly people like yourself who have used it find it to be very good and useful. People aren't willing to make the investment to see.

Or, you may be in a minority, of course!

Kinect, is the very reason i'm staying with the 360,

i don't want to be making shapes, or playing minority report every time i want to watch a film

I'm quite capable of picking up a remote control, and pressing a few buttons, rather than shouting at a box in the corner.

Nothing beats saying "xbox on" and my tv ,xbox and av amp turn on in one go. Like wise for turning it off. The ir blaster on it is worth it alone IMO
