Default A little bit of retro gaming for the SN'ers

When I visit the parents I've been hassling them for months to go in the loft and dig my old consoles out.

Finally my persistence paid off

In my haul in aladdins cave I got these

Also a ps2 with these.

Here's the best bit the nes hasn't probably been used for over 20 years , the first cartridge I boot up works straight from the first press!!

The others how ever didn't work but google helped me out , I brasso'd the connections in the cartridge and they all work again

Here's a couple

And also this apparently quite rare

Today has been a good day for me

Ah fond childhood memories, sitting waiting for the spectrum to load a tape with excited anticipation listening to the delightful loading noise. Out of all the spectrum games the ones I remember most are Beach Head and Daley Thomson's Decathlon. Certainly memories I hope never fade.

I never had a console as a kid so missed out on the Nintendo stuff, I had a spectrum 48k then the 128k then an Amiga 500 then my first pc, a 486 dx33 with 2mb ram and 120mb hdd iirc running Windows 3.11 My first pc upgrade was to a dx66 cpu and then more ram and bigger hdd and then Windows 95 came along and the pc market kicked off. How things have changed.

Awesome. I've considered buying a N64 package off eBay with a bunch of games and extra controllers to rig up to my TV.

I must have around 15 consoles in my shed from the master system to the ps2 with a few duplicates, never use them but can't seem to part with them.

Just got a xbox one and regret selling the ps3 as I find it junk, bored of forza 5 already and miss gt6.

Got a Sega Megadrive under the bed, with loads of games. Must dig it back out at some point.

I used to work for Ocean and USGold doing C64 games.

They were the days, 64K of RAM to have all code, graphics and sound

iD also raised the stakes with Quake which was 1996 vs Goldeneye's 1997

2 games which started the fps multiplayer before Goldeneye
