Default Discoloured discs

After washing my car, using on the wheels Meg wheel brightener and Meg shampoo plus, I've noticed over time that my brake discs are becoming discoloured. They look a rusty colour....here's hoping they aren't actually rusting because of this !!
Is this normal ?
Is there a way of fixing this ?
Is there a way of avoiding this ?

I think every one will get this, think its done to the chemicals in the cleaning products. I have seen this even on the top guys detailing mega money cars.
U can stop it I guess by cover the disc as best as u can, or u end up taking the wheels off every time u wash the car.

My quick fix it to either run the car up the road and back, or back and forth on the drive, soon clears it up. It is my preference to do this especially if the car will sit in the garage for a few days without moving.
