Default Engine bay cleaning

Giving my engine bay a well needed overhaul but would like to no what to clean it with. I.e products, washing with gentle hose, covering up certain bits? Im currently having my inlet powder coated white!! I no I no it will get filthy but i think im starting to get an obbsesive compolsive dissorder lol so keeping it clean won't be a problem just need to no HOW TO really. Any hints tips all appreciated
Oh i have blue silicone vac, breather and water hoses, turbo inlet pipe and soon to be wrapped and painted black i/c pipes, black header tank and alternator cover

Car Care Products - Engine - Degreasers, Metal Polishes and Trim Dressings

good place to look for the kit you need , i use Meguiars Super Degreaser and it works well large tube works out very cost effective if you plan on keeping it too clean lol

millsy, i basically used some poorboys whitewall cleaner/degreaser (diluted), an old toothbrush and lots of elbow grease. i put the degreaser solution on a trigger spray bottle and just wiped of the excess that didnt drain away to achieve this:-



you can spend lots of ££'s on products, but the only good safe way is graft IMHO.
didnt use a hose, just a trigger bottle of clean water to rinse
