Red face AM I BEING A PURE SPAZ?

Regarding Karcher power hoses and snow foam, I already have the following:

1. Karcher power hose with small floppy nozzle on the front which I assume is for adding detergent

2. A carton of snow foam.

However, it does not seem to be working; I thought you just dunked the floppy nozzle into a bucket of water mixed with the snow foam and Bobs yer uncle?...

Or do I need to buy a seperate foam lance?

Please help as I am dying to get the cars all nice and foamy!!!

Your not doing anything wrong. The nozzle thing is just crap. As is any standard foam bottle you get with a power washer. Yep, get a proper foam lance like this, then you will get proper thick foam;

Have a look at this as well.

Meguiar's UK :: View topic - Ulltimate Karcher Jetwash FAQ

I have used the Karcher Foam gun thingy with no problem other than it doesn't hold a huge amount & sometimes needs a refill.

Karcher Pressure Washer Foam Lance from Halfords Price £14.99

Still it does its job & gives good results & for a lot less than £45.

Sry but that foam bottle is the exact type that doesn't produce thick foam that really clings and is thick whiting out the car completely.

Did you try different concentrations? Mine gives enough to land a plane on at Stansted with its wheels up. I only put about 30 ml Chemical Guys Snow Foam in 250 ml warm water & away you go.

The Karcher bottle certainly produces foam, but the foam is quite thin and non-clingy. The aftermarket HD lance produces thicker foam that clings for longer, giving a longer dwell time. Nothing wrong with the Karcher product, but the HD lance is better in our opinion - hence why we stock it and not the Karcher version, which I did consider doing at one point.
