Default Dirty engine

I have been onto my dad for a little while to clean his engine bay as it has not seen any attention since he brought the car some 5 years (75k miles) ago. Lots of grime, road dirt, grease had built up as you can imagine. So this afternoon I decided to give him a hand and help clean his engine bay.

We covered the intercooler with card, covered the MAF, alternator, fuse box and a few electrical connectors with my mums cling film...I hope she won't notice

I first gave the engine a quick blast with the PW, then applied PS21 mixed 4:1 thorough a megs degreaser bottle and foaming spray head. We both agitated the worst effected areas, but this was pretty much the whole engine, with stiff brushes.

I then PW everything down to see what was left. We had missed some bits so we re sprayed the deg onto the engine and had another go, with a greater effect. Hosed off again and then dried. We did not get time to dress the plastics and rubbers. Thats for tomorrow

Before

...A jiffy later

It probably could do with being re done again, but its a hell of a lot cleaner and 'nicer' to look at now.

My dads happy.
