Default Black Scooby 2 Day Detail Pic Heavy!!!

This is a Scoob belonging to a mate on TTS(Dave)
Various paint correction was required from Scratch and Swirl Removal to a Big Blob of Paint which had set on the bonnet and some area's needed wetsanding to flat out touch up area's.

Arrived to find a Very Dirty car on monday morning sporting the debris from the parking field at a very wet Croft BTCC on Sunday.

Mondays Pictures aren't that great sorry it was a dull miserable day here in the Northeast.

Pre rinsed with hosepipe
Washed 3 buckets with CG's Super Suds Shampoo (thanks to David for the sample)
Rinsed with hosepipe
Wheels cleaned with CG's Redberry safe Wheel Cleaner
Arches etc with APC @ 6:1
The whole car was then Sprayed with APC @ 8:1 and left to dwell for 10 mins to remove old wax etc.
Engine Degreased and rinsed with hosepipe
Washed 2 Buckets with CG's Super Suds Shampoo
Dried with Miracle Dryer and CG's Speedwipe as an aid and lubricant
Once dry vehicle was inspected and PTG readings were taken

APC did a nice job removing old wax etc, no beading there after rinsing.

Paint Blob set on Bonnet with a few splash marks

PTG Readings around and of the Paint Blob.

Top end, thinnest area of the Paint Blob.

Bottom end, thickest area of the Paint Blob.

Various RIDS and swirling on the whole car about 10 mins of sunshine helped during the inspection.

Some defects were worse and would need wetsanding to correct.

And the Paint Blob.

After the wetsanding, a few pad, polish combo's tested, in the end I went with CG's Diamond Cut 2000 and a LC CCS White Polishing Pad on the Makita. Fiddly area's tackled with the PC and Sonus 3" Cutting Pad.

1/2 and 1/2 on the bonnet, can't tell much from the picture(crap day) but the difference was obvious to the eye

Scratches in door handles were removed using CG's Cut 1.5 on a finger and refined with 3M 80349 Ultra fine compound.(Y)

That was Mondays work about 8hrs polishing and paint correction.

Tuesday it rained all day and I had another Job to do so back to the car today and pulled out of the garage, washed and dried again, during drying I noticed some area's with Holograms and some Marring.

Today all paintwork refined using 3M 50383 UltraFina and a LC CCS Blue Ultra Fine Finishing Pad on the rotary. Fiddly area's again done Via PC and Sonus 3" Finishing Pad.

Followed up with Megs #7 Show car glaze and CG's 50/50 Ltd Edition Concourse Wax.

Wheels got some Jetseal 109 and tyres Meg's endurance tyre Gel.

Some Afters.

Gold Flake in the Black Paint really Pop's through in the sunlight now.

Hope you all enjoy.
Robbie

Nice result there mate. Which splitter is that? I'm looking for one where I don't need the STI winglets. Bob

It's the HT Auto's Splitter, the later Polyeurothane one, I sprayed it to match the rest of the car for the car's owner Dave
