New Car - Best Plan of Action (Non Scoob)
Just about to get my new company car (so I aint gonna to spend as much time on it as my own car used to get )
Audi A4 in solid brillant red like this (but in saloon form)
I am looking for advice as to the best way to start and protect the paint from new so that it should come up shiny as poss. It wont be cleaned every week afterwards but will be looked after.
What is the best starting protection, wash solution and then occasionally touch up polish\protection
and also what is recommended for alloys nowadays
Cheers
Dave.

great looking car. if it was mine i'd start with the following:
rinse,
apc soak for 10 mins,
rinse,
foam,
rinse,
foam and 2 bucket method wash,
rinse,
dry,
claybar,
foam,
rinse,
dry,
top coat protection - i like mothers reflections advanced top coat,
a good wax - at the moment i like zymol products but also like dodo orange on red. the other choice i like is the jeffs werkstatt carnuba kit,
for the wheels i'm using zymol creame at the moment but poorboys wheel sealant is good.
each week or every other a wash with something like megs hyper wash and dry down followed by megs last touch to keep up the protection.
then every 6 - 8 weeks another coat of wax.
once every 6 months, claybar it and start again or at least once a year.

JEFFS Werkstatt Acryic Glos 500 ml
Ultimate German Applicator Pad 6" x 3" x 1"
Poorboy's Super Thick & Plush Towel 16" x 16"
2 x Poorboy's Deluxe Mega Towel 16" x 16"
I had heard about the poorboys wheel sealent so that is prob one on the list

have a look at this thread
Black scooby detail - Detailing World[url
these results were after machine polishing and then using the jeffs werkstatt acrylic kit.
