Default A couple of waxes worth mentioning

Me an a mates just had quite good results from using relatively cheap waxes so thought i`d share the results, obviously cant say how good they are from a protection point of view as we`ve only just used them though as finish goes really happy. Both of these are around £22 each.

I used Mothers california gold pure carnauba wax paste

The mothers quite easy like most paste waxes just applied with a sponge applicator buff off with a poorboys microfibre cloth just working on a panel at a time (its quite quick drying comparable to pinnacle souveran paste wax in some ways but guess not that many ppl`s tried that)

22 quid cheap...lol...i use XXX Harcore wax and its about 15 notes....it makes the car look so wet ( and it white ) 1 paste wax i would reccomend and it lasts 5 - 6 weeks.

Havent tried the elegance but the 476 and 815 are very durable and perfect for the winter protection.

Dave,

Have you had any experience with Swissol to be able to compare it. I'm a fan of Swissol, mainly becuase it's easy to apply and gets you a great result.

Favour swissol out of swissol and zymol just dont like the price.........pic below from when i used swissol a few times (had a tub of both samurai wax and zymol japon in the past)depends on the colour car your using them on though in my experience as to what you use,i dont go a bundle(on my colour car)on pinnacle souveran paste wax either at £40 yet ive tried it on me runabout(red micra) and its mint, a bird i know loves using it on her red prelude and a mate thats got a black mk1 granada swears by it-waxes really can be that colour specific-ok ya get decent results from them all but certain colours can look amazing(see a few of polished bliss`s threads).

Tried hardcore paste wax and butter wet wax by chemical guys they gave a very flat finish but not much of a glow though to be fair im being harsh really in comparing them to waxes twice the price, definately worth the money just not quite the finish i were after from either.Favour p21s concours carnauba wax actually at around the £20 mark but compared to the mothers stuff think mothers has the edge on depth but p21s on ease of use both are excellent waxes though for the money.
