Polished Bliss Vs New Seat Leon
A pretty much straight forward detail for this car:
The main problem with the car was that the owner had run over paint on the road which had in turn managed to get up the whole near side of the car and in the arches:
He had pretty much managed to get the majority off with a clay bar but this had resulted in some pretty bad marring to go along with the Wash lines and random cob-webbing the car also had:
So here's the full process:
Wash:
- Pre foamed with Megs Hyper Wash in AB Lance
- Left for 10 mins and rinsed off
- APC applied to Arches/door shuts
- Foamed again & washed with Megs Shampoo Plus & TBM.
- Wheels cleaned with Menzerna 7.5 Tyre and Wheel Gel & Megs MF Mitt.
- Rinsed at low pressure
- Spot clayed (where there was still paint spots) with Megs Aggresive Clay.
- Dried with PB Waffle Weave.
I tried various methods to get the paint off the arch liners but the only thing that worked in any decent amount of time was the pressure washer at close range.
Polish:
- Taped with 3434
- PTG readings taken, car ranged from 90 to 120 microns.
- Menzerna P085RD & Megs Finishing Pad @ 1500rpm via Rotary.
- Polish dust removed with a Zymol lambswool duster (these are ace!)
- Blackfire Wet Diamond Paint Sealant applied by hand & German Applicator.
- Glass - Zymol Field Glaze
- Wheels - Poorboys Wheel Sealant
- Tyres - Blackfire Long Lasting Tyre Gel
- Arches - Megs All Season Dressing
- Scuttle Panel - 303 Protectant (buffed 20 mins later)
- Door shuts - Jeffs Werkstatt Prime Strong.
Afters:
Arch before:
Arch after:
The sun even came out (kind of) for 2 mins
Total work time: 10 hours
Thanks for looking
