Default Getiing The Top Off Mer Polish??

Can someone help me? I'mtrying to get the top off Mer Car Polish. It says to press the side of the Gold Screw Cap.

I've tried pressing from the side, the top, then screwing it off no joy.
I've tried screwing it clock wise Anti clockwise, it's driving me nuts.

I'm trying to give Mr Scoob a clan as the Sun is out.

Any advce gratefeully received.

Many thanks.

Have you tried pushing the top down and twisting it anti-clockwise?
Just an idea.

I've had the same problem with the Mer Cap too, you have to squeeze the lid pretty damn hard, push it down and twist it at the same time!!! feels like your dislocating your wrist!! poor design really. totally agree with 'bug eyed peas', buy Gold Class, Superb stuff!!

Thanks everyone. Just come from the Garage, stuck ii in the Vice & used a pair of Lopping Shears & poured it into an empty Milk Carton.

Poxy design, when it's gone, I'll try the Gold Class.

THanks once again.

Its a CHILD safety lock!
I must admit, one bottle took me a while to crack open. Felt like a right pleb!
Just push down, squeeze and turn.

Or lever the gold outer cap bit off with a screwdriver then use the plastic inner one that is left behind.

Honestly after using Megs, you won`t regret it. The wife once bought some Mer, many moons ago. Never again.
