A brush. We don't use any other products on Alcantara, as it's far too easy to completely ruin, even with very light APC's and small amounts of water. You also have to be careful with the choice of brush - too harsh and the pile will be ruined. We use a Meguiars Interior Brush, plus their Triple Duty Detail Brush for tighter areas. If you have staining or a significant amount of dirt accumulation I would speak with a specialist fabric cleaning company or even a manufacturer for more specialist advice.

It was actually the side bolsters that needed cleaned but was looking for a product that would be safe for the rest of the seat (alcantara? 05 STI).

Basic guidelines are to clean fabrics and leather with an all purpose interior cleaner, such as those by Poorboy's and Meguiars, limiting the amount of wetting wherever possible. Leather should then be fed with an appropriate products, such as Poorboys Leather Stuff or the equivalent. As for special finishes such as suede and alcantara, brush only!
