Default My new scoob, cleaning tips?

Hi all,

I got my first scooby on Tuesday, a classic MY00 deep mica blue.

Its been well looked after, very clean in and out (1 owner from new) and at the moment it looks fantasticly clean.

Every other car I have owned hasnt deserved full cleaning attention (vectra, rover, civic, XR2 etc, etc).

Now Ive got the car I wanted I want to try and keep it as good looking as possible and I am overwhelmed with all the products and really dont know anything about what products to use. I had a look down at the threads on here but I just need some starting tips.

Could someone give me some general info on how best to keep it in top condition and what products would be best allround, not too pricey but not too cheap. And if there are any products to avoid.

Asking alot I know, but Im such a scoob noob I need some guidance.

Cheers!

Thanks for that, good site with a newbie section, just what I was after. Will have to spend some time checking that out this weekend.

If you want a simple, straightforward starter kit that will look great, be easy to use and give great protection try this...

Wash

JEFFS Werkstatt Auto Body Wash
Meguiars Lambswool Mitt (for bodywork)
Megiuars Microfibre Mitt (for wheels/inside arches)
Poorboy's Waffle Weave Drying Towel

Polish

Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish
German Applicator Pad
Poorboy's Super Thick n Plush Towel

Protect

Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection
Poorboy's Deluxe Mega Towel

Wheels

Poorboy's Wheel Sealant
Meguiars Foam Pads
Poorboy's Work Towel

If your budget is tight cut out the polish step to start with, or if you want some of the extras think about Blackfire Tyre Gel and Meguiars NXT Glass Cleaner, plus a few extra towels. Whatever suits! Plenty of results of using the Blackfire products can be found in this section.

PS - they will all be back in stock in 1-2 days time.
