BLACKFIRE (on P1) teaser!
Ok, so I've been talking up the new Blackfire range a lot, but talk is cheap, so time to put up some proof methinks. I'll be doing full write ups on the following details over the coming week, but here's a few teaser shots and some thoughts.
I usually differentiate between sealants and waxes on the basis that sealants give a shiny, highly reflective look, and waxes give a rich, wet look. I know this is a broad brush statement, as waxes can be spit shined to mirror like finishes, etc, and sealants like FMJ look quite wet at times, but as a guide it keeps things simple. Blended products like OCW blur the line between the two, but Blackfire Wet Diamond takes this a step further. As you can see in the following pictures, we have dripping wetness and massive reflectivity. The pics don't do the finishes justice, the owner of the Cupra actually gave me a hug when he saw it! The best finish I have ever acheived on a car by miles. Durability is yet to be confirmed, but even if it gives four months it will be worth it. Now you really can have all the richness and wetness of a wax, combined with the relectivity of a sealant.
I've tested all the products in the range now, and all are good enough to make it into the store - the first shipment is en route and will be here next week. Products of particular note include the aggressive clay (makes short work of tough claying jobs, marrs the hell out of the paint, but following up with the machine makes this no problem), the glaze (which adds even more wetness to the finish, used on both cars below) and the tyre gel (which is the only tyre gel I own that makes my tyres look blacker than my black rims (see extra image below). Pricing will be as competative as always, and we will try to keep it around the old price point for the Menzerna range.

Arrh no ! more choices, just as was about to order some of the Menzerna range ! Will have to wait to see how the blackfire range looks on a black car !

In brief, spit shining is a technique that allows a wax to be layered one coat after another (waxes usually remove previous coats due to the high solvent content). The method works by using water in between applying the wax and buffing - same concept as spit and polish for your shoes.

How can this be applied to a car that has recently been waxed??
Do I have to use something to strip off the old wax, or can I just PC this stuff on?? (currently got megs Tech Wax on car)
Will be ordering some when it comes into stock.

It should not be used over a wax, so you will need to strip any previous last step products first. To do this, I use either P21S Total Auto Wash (neat), or Meguires Safe Degreaser, cut 10:1. Wash car normally, spray either product on all over, wait 5 mins, rinse off thoroughly, dry, then use the new product.

got some of the blackfire stuff from pb and had a quick last night, just did th front, bonnett and wings by hand, got a pc arriving any day now so will do the whole car properley then.
