when is the forking SN ad server gonna be fixed?
has there already been a thread on this? bit annoying as my browser continually flashes up messages saying unable to connect to scoobyshop etc...

oh - i don't habve the one which is usually below the picture of the impreza, to the right of the private messages link. maybe it looks ok in IE? I'm using mozilla.

just opened it in IE - the ad is still missing, but the browser doesn't constantly alert you to the fact that it can't connect - that is obviously a mozilla "feature"
IE just shows "action cancelled" where the ads should be.

This isn't a ghost town. It is a sad fact that I rarely get a chance to view the fun parts of the forums now, so I spotted this thread quickly due to it being in here.
The ad server is functioning perfectly as far as we can tell. It sounds like a local problem to your machine. maybe a firewall setting or similar?

they've disappeared again.
seems strange as this is at a different PC and a different internet connection.
they are both ADSL from the same provider, though.
