when is the forking SN ad server gonna be fixed?

has there already been a thread on this? bit annoying as my browser continually flashes up messages saying unable to connect to scoobyshop etc...

ChrisB 04 May 2004 09:15 PM

Which of the banner ad's? All is fine for me tonight...

ProperCharlie 04 May 2004 09:19 PM

oh - i don't habve the one which is usually below the picture of the impreza, to the right of the private messages link. maybe it looks ok in IE? I'm using mozilla.

ProperCharlie 04 May 2004 09:28 PM

just opened it in IE - the ad is still missing, but the browser doesn't constantly alert you to the fact that it can't connect - that is obviously a mozilla "feature"

IE just shows "action cancelled" where the ads should be.

oh great - i've been dumped into SN's own ghost town. i was only trying to be helpful, you know.

ah well.

:)

Hi

This isn't a ghost town. It is a sad fact that I rarely get a chance to view the fun parts of the forums now, so I spotted this thread quickly due to it being in here.

The ad server is functioning perfectly as far as we can tell. It sounds like a local problem to your machine. maybe a firewall setting or similar?

All the best

Simon

they've disappeared again.

seems strange as this is at a different PC and a different internet connection.

they are both ADSL from the same provider, though.

ProperCharlie 06 May 2004 05:52 PM

i am still having this problem - anyone else? afaik i haven't changed anything to my internet settings.

IanW 06 May 2004 06:36 PM

It is all working fine from here.

Can you connect to http://shop.scoobynet.co.uk ok?

ProperCharlie 06 May 2004 08:48 PM
