Hi there

If you are going with 2.1L,assume you will be running AVCS heads,if yes I would go down the route of the GT30,on 2.1L will be nice and spooly

Second bit what power you are thinking to run?! And from this I would go and decide which is best option, plus you are looking more for track or drag strip etc.

Yes you have already AVCS on yours STi

For 550bhp I would go down the route of the GT30 and you should have nice and comfortable 550bhp without the doubts

What spec of the 2.1L you are looking to have built?

GT35 has been run on 2.1 but as Jura says a GT30 is the way to go for better spooling.SJ.

I haven't looked into full specs of the 2.1 build as of yet but that's the way I wanna go, so any help on specs would be helpful

Hi there

Depends on budget, speak to few builders here and ask them for spec

I would go with Mahle Pistons(just wish Cosworth pistons are available too for 2.1)
Rods: K1,Carrillo, Cosworth etc
Crank:EJ257
HG:Cosworth
Headstuds: 11mm Cosworth 260k psi if budget allow get 14mm headstud conversion
OEM Gasket rebuild kit
ACL Race Bearings

plus few other bits and bobs, really speak with engine builders here,I'm sure they will spec for you nice engine which will hold that power without the problem on longer run
