Default Did some Bug Eye STi's come with fog lamps instead of covers?

I've seen a few now and I thought all STi's came with covers. I'm left wondering whether the cars are genuine STi's or not as a result.

I've seen this one, and it has plenty of STi bits, but I'm unsure?

Anybody know it?

Ah OK no probs.

Quite like this one too, but not the black rub strips!

Will they come off easy enough? I prefer the cars that don't have them.

look for a bugeye with the prodrive exterior kit. looks 10 times better, front bumper is different with large fog covers and it also has the twisted style side skirts

Cheers guys, I will try to find an STi Type UK Prodrive then I've noticed the subtle differences since it was said. The skirts are nicer for sure.

Just out of interest, how can I identify a genuine Prodrive 305bhp version? Will it have a certificate or a power graph etc?

Should have a certificate. I still have it with the paperwork for my STI.

Thanks Scud. Would people walk away if no certificate is present, or are there other tell-tale signs?

I've never looked on mine - a quick search threw up this thread which may be useful. https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...-you-know.html

The PPP + certificate only had any value whilst the warranty was intact, IMHO. For half the cost I got double the BHP increase on mine. I had 340 bhp for less than a grand. Then it got expensive, LOL.

HTH

For the time being, a 305bhp "standard" car would be fantastic for me.

i was mistaken on mine . "prodrive" is just the styling on the Type UK (Front bumper etc) 265 bhp
"PPP Prodrive Performance Pack"305 bhp is a tuning package consisting off a Prodrive exhaust backbox , ECU , Prodrive silicone pipe on LHS of intercooler, Prodrive suspension (i think) probably other stuff , but thats the easy stuff to look for.
From what i hear , quite expensive mods that can be bettered with aftermarket stuff.

If there isnt a PPP certificate its probably not got it , will have the chassis number hand written on it. I tried to trace my car back to see if mine had just been lost, but neither Prodrive or Subaru could find out as the system got computerised in 2004 and nothing before that was kept on record.
