Default Prodrive Performance Pack - how do you know?

A close friend has been tempted to buy an STi since he has driven mine but asked a rather good question today..... how do you know if a car has had the PPP fitted? What if anything is visibly checkable? Apologies if this sounds a daft question but I know more about Quantum Physics than I do about Subaru's

Prodrive exhaust
Remapped ECU - will have a label on it under the glove box
Blue Intercooler Pipe

Owner should have a PPP certificate

I think Prodrive stick a sticker on the ecu box saying performance enhanced to 305 bhp (or whatever) please inform your insurance company

STi's retain the OE red STi intercooler pipe, WRX's came with a moulded corrugated black plastic thing which had both awful flow characteristics and was prone to splitting, hence the blue Prodrive (Samco with a sticker) one as part of the WRX PPP.

STi PPP's got the Prodrive sports cat down-pipe, decat centre and back box (all made by Scorpion under license), Prodrive (rebadged Walbro) fuel pump, and the remap chip swap.

There should be a certificate with the handbook, but a quick call to a dealer and they can check on the service records.

IIRC

Look for this under the bonnet, it's the ppp sports cat and it must have one.
