Default Another unhappy camper,*REFUNDED*

Purchased a set of STI injectors from a member/breaker through the members for sale section last Monday. We agreed a price, I paid instantly, all seemed fine. A week later, nothing. Tried PMing him but he's ignoring those whilst still signing in and posting. I'm f4cking furious. No phone number so what do I do next? Tried contacting Admin through forum contact area and awaiting reply.. Good job I didn't have a remap booked isn't it?

Gets my back right up. Even if they turn up tomorrow it's still not f4ucking good enough.

Mr Angry of Newcastle.

If they haven't turned up by tomorrow then I don't see any reason for not naming him. I even PM'd him this morning stating that if he didn't reply I'd do just that. He hasn't logged on since just before I PM'd but he'll have Email notification so that doesn't wash with me sadly. Out of interest I purchased the injectors from the members' area not the traders' but he does appear to have some sort of business going..

^ Indeed with zero feedback If you do research before you buy things it often saves disappointment. Ebay feedback ain't great either, but there are at least contact details at the bottom with a phone number

He may not get an email as you can switch that feature off, still no excuse for not keeping people informed of the situation.

I'm breaking my type r and doing it alone on the drive over xmas and new year with the bad weather and family commitments meant that things took a bit longer than i would have liked, but i kept the relevant people informed and i think that is the key, we all lead busy lives but it only takes a few moments to let someone know whats going on and there is nothing like not knowing anything or feeling like your being ignored to wind a person up.

Hope you get it sorted soon mate.

Yeh I accept that but I PM'd over weekend, he's logged on and posted and ignored my PM. And I understand what folk are saying about him only just joining but when someone posts a thread like this one:

https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...ing-wagon.html

Then you would assume he's a genuine member.. His other threads/posts also appear to be genuine on face value, which leaves me all the more baffled.

This is alll sort of ties in with a thread I posted up in the Policy Forum :

https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...rketplace.html

There are some very good private sellers on here with good feedback; like myself for instance but there are also some real sharks as well, you have to be careful who you buy from. The seller may have a very good reason for you not having received the injectors but out of common courtesy it takes second to respond to or even send a PM explaining the delay.

As an example my latest purchase was paid for late on Thursday evening and I received it first thing this morning, the seller posted it on Friday as promised - what is the hardship in keeping your word and fulfilling your end of the transaction?

As above phone him.

Unfortunately I've had to remove all of his threads as he is a trader and hasn't paid the correct fees to be an authorised advertiser. I know it doesn't help much but he shouldn't have been advertising stuff in the private ads sections.

He's breaking one car so I'm not sure if he qualifies as an authorised dealer? I wouldn't know tbh.. Emailed his personal addy and tried to contact through Ebay.. Failing that, claim through paypal sadly.. it's £100 I could well do without losing at the mo.. If indeed I've been scammed, will know for sure by tomorrow..

Where would I find his number?

I find myself agreeing with you more and more.

Perhaps there should be a requirement for a landline/mobile to be provided as part of the registration process that a confirmation code is sent via, so to confirm it. So then the details can be passed on if there is a problem, or included in the "receipt".

I know 99% of people on club forums will be honest people, but we have to protect the majority from that said minority. I`ve no problem in the person I`m selling to having my number, I tend to give it with the "thank you" anyways.

Four cars actually...in just one month! That falls foul of our selling for profit rules.

Sorry I assumed you had asked for his phone number/contact details when purchasing? I didn't see any numbers when I glanced through the ads (which is understandable in this day and age of privacy paranoia).

Totally agree with the original poster. Ive bought a fair few items off here now, some off fairly new members some that have been around for sometime and have good feedback.

I think you should have items you pay for fairly quickly, Ive had to wait weeks before due to people not having the time and being busy. Always makes me laugh as these people are quick enough to advertise and take money but when it comes to sending goods out suddenly the trip to the post office becomes one of the most difficult of trips they could ever make!

Hope it all turns out ok in the end.

Here's a thread from last time this happened:

https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...-argument.html

Some good ideas in there on how to reform the whole trading area (members and trade).

Cannon Fodder makes some good points in his policy thread too.

Discuss!

I bought a spoiler off one of the members here he was like me and joined at the
end of last year.
He was very good to buy from and the level of help and assistance was excellent afterwards all in all the guy was 100% excellent to buy from and would glady buy from him again.

I know there has been some sharks pulled some fast ones on this site but there is
also alot of really trustworthy sellers aswell.
