if he wants 8k he's going to need to break it, no one is going to pay that for a 1996.

IMO 8K isnt far off the money considering the spec and model.

It's not a great colour and the engine bay is repulsive but it is a very good spec.

Starting bid is 8K, not price

Personally, with those mods, i see it warranty a fair bit more than that. A built 2.35 costs that much on it's own. With head work nearly £12k!

It's a good spec, it's a challenge to sell project cars at the minute unless you come across someone who wants that exact spec. One of the guys that works with us is trying to sell his Evo 5, it's fully forged wih good spec and naturally he wants a bit more than you can pick up an Evo 5 for, still people just don't seem that interested right now.

Spot on. This spec warrants a higher price but it simply wont sell at what it should

He'd be far better off breaking imho

Dont see whats wrong with the price at that spec, going to take a while to shift it tho with the way cars are selling, easier to break but bit of a waste.
the engine would be nice in mine if it does break lol

That is a great spec car and to be fair he has bucked the trend and done his own thing with the colour. I am betting that the pic's dont do this car justice and looks better in the flesh.

Great spec but not in the right shell to make the money back. If that spec were in a mint Ver6 Type R shell it would fetch in excess of £12,000 IMO.

any clasic with a good spec liek that is worht that money but only to some one wants it and dam your try building that car for les then 15000 grand not including the car i so=pent 10000 grand on mine over a few years and that not including the car and its not quite as good spec as that i.e he has a 2.3 i only have a forged 2.0 with all the proper goodies i.e six speed box ,all these classic running 400 with out a six speed you can knock of 2000 grand straigh away id bee dammed if id sell my car for any less then 6500 -7000 in fact ill probally re shell it sooner or later into a typr r with a blown engine and go for the last of the type r

That's Darren (gooners) car it's a great spec, spent some readies on it that's for sure !

2.35, 6 speed, SC46, Brembos, Millenniums, 555, API, TFS, FBTuning, it's got all the right bits and names on it.

Colour is actually better face to face, although criticism of the colour is ill advised face to face lol, Gooner's a big fella

Looking at it he would get 8/9k no problems, with just engine, box, suspension, simtec, brakes, wheels ect, stick the shell down the scrappers though along with the engine pipework, god knows what he was thinking, people do them a certain way for a reason, and i can't think why someone would do that to an engine bay of that spec.

If he spends a couple of hundred sorting that bay out, he would probably get a good price and not have to break it.

But he is from essex which says it all really, maybe one of the locals will have it off him as is.

If I'm right it has lateral cams etc with ported castings so with a 2.35 bottom end it would have been 10-12k without doubt mate.

I like that, not my choice of colour scheme under the bonnet but what the hell..

Must be pretty awesome to drive.

I would be suicidal if I'd spent that much time/money on a car to sell it 4 months later.

Yes mate, 12K

I got a statement for a Lateral built 2.35 with CNC port & polish heads, cams, valve, springs, 14mm stud conversion etc. Build was something like £11,936

Can you lend me a tenner til payday
Thats dedication with a dash of insanity imo.I love my Prezza but not that much,to my mind you can buy a serious car for that sort of money.
No disrespect to people saying that car is worth £8k + all day long etc but it ended with no bids & as they say anything is only worth what someones willing to pay.
