Dont... you're looking at silly money. You're better off picking up a low mileage 2nd hand one from here. Plenty on sale all the time.

Recon box £900 (just the syncro's)
Replacement box £200 (if that)

ideal engines will do a recon box fitted for about £600, NE london, so not too far from you.

I had one from them on my last scoob with no issues, delivered for £295

It depends what is wrong with your box. If the gears sets are gone forget it as the parts are prohibitively expensive.

I had a box overhauled by Trade Transmissions in Peterborough a couple of years back
All bearings and synchros replaced and 12 months warranty around £300 IIRC.

Swapped out the boxes myself as I was quoted around £400 for the actual in/out work. So a recon box fitted for £600 is pretty good going. That's if the warranty is worth anything. Ideal Engines rings a bell. Anything to do with SMR?

Add about £150 for a standard Exedy clutch.

Good luck

To be honest I'd thought about a second hand one but I really dont want to have the same thing happen a little while down the line.
The price is around what Ive been quoted so pretty happy with that in a scooby lovin kind of way

Will find out tomorrow what the problem is, but Ive been told that he is 90% sure its the box as there is a lot of play on the shafts that go in to it
