Clutch query.
My clutch is on it`s last legs but I don`t know what to go for. I assume the one in it is standard and I`m happy with the `feel` of it. My question is, would a standard one cope with 340 bhp. I don`t track or race it and I don`t drive it like I stole it Cheers.

Hi
Hope you don't mind jumping onto your thread?
But I am after a new clutch to fit to MY99 UK Turbo engine ready for when I put it back in the car. Car is standard tune, with not plans to increase.
Quick look around the going price is just under £200!!
Cheers

Yes ebay is best option as always anywhere else is £250 at minimum. im in same boat as you at the moment trying to find cheapest yet not too cheap. Saw a Brand New pink box anti-judder Exedy clutch go for £160ish couple of weeks ago before mine started miss-behaving
They are hydraulic so no cable to get caught the peddle might need a little greasing. Or system could be low on fluid or one of the cylinders is leaking/getting stuck. If its still pulls like a train without over revving when pulling off etc theres nothing wrong with the clutch itself.
