I bought an engine off them and it never arrived.
After waiting for some weeks and no answer from them, I was lucky to get back the money through a claim at my creditcardcompany!
They were called Prestigepartz.com before and were on eBay as well!
The salesmans name was Karl.

The sale of tins of Silver wheel paint has increased rapidly since they began trading! The only guys Ive ever seen that can "recondition and fully check a Subaru engine" without stripping it.

I would back up what David says, and avoid SMR like the plague.

API would be a much better bet for a proper recon engine, and I guarantee it will be cheaper in the long run!

a mate of mine bought an engine from smr , after he blew his wrx up doing silly speeds what a **** on he had just getting the engine. had it fitted . he was told by them that it had sti steel headgaskets fitted . the headgaskets lasted about 300 mile or there abouts . when he had the car back at the garage to get new headgaskets fitted the old ones looked like cardboard sprayed black and the cylinder rings (unsure of the proper name) paint in silver paint badly i hasten to add

stay away and avoid unless you want to get your eyes taken out
