Default Help a newbie please

ok so bought a 2001 impreza sport classic

mods are borla manifold, de cat and vortex afterburner.

Only problem i have is 'engine check' light sometimes comes on when i start it up from cold then after a few mins when upto temp light goes off and satys off.

Any ideas?

I understand if there is no common problem for this it will need to have a diagnostics but the fact it goes off and satys off made me question it on here.

Checked the obvious oil/water etc. and its all good. Temp doesnt budge above 90

Probably just needs mapping after having the decat.
Do you still have a lambda sensor on the exhaust?

I think i'm just going to take it to sheffield subaru services or similar to get the cambelt (no solid evidence of it being done recently) and a service. while its their i'll get them to check this out. Thanks for the replies, im not hugely worried about this as the light does go off and stays off.
