The reason i may need a mobile mechanic is because rich(fb tuning) has unfortunetely broke his leg halfway through my engine job,i need the car asap as my mrs is due our baby and my car is also due to renew mot and tax very soon.
the engine is basically completed,and will need manifolds etc etc fitted and installed into the car,then a base map put on the apexi ecu for running in.

Yep, believe so. Can you trailer the motor anywhere? EngineTuner is *relatively* close to you. Otherwise I guess you want someone Bristol-ish based

 

ive already had the apexi set up before(when my bottom end gave up) so its just a small adjustment on the mapping to put on a base map,dont want to be paying 250 quid or similar just for that!

 

the problem is rich said if i can get the car up to him he can get one of his mates to finish the job but the transport cost is £300
i have not allowed for this as originally rich was going to come to me.
to transport to plymouth will be similar cost (or slightly less) plus i will be charged more due to having to map the apexi!
after a couple of weeks of running in i was supposed to be driving back up to rich so he could put a "proper" map on it and dyno test with fresh oil change etc.

 

thats not a bad plan,but need someone good as heads and valve clearances are not finshed,cam timing etc etc

 

don t worry about that just guess lol sure rich can stil do it don t see the prob lol

 

lol,he did say he could probably get that part finshed so it would be complete apart from manifolds, turbo,sump,downpipe,clutch,flywheel,etc etc...the list goes on.also need cv boot doing and gearbox and diff oil,so its not just a matter of bolting the engine back in.

 

i have most parts here with me like all engine pulleys etc

yes he is,but not as soon as i would have liked unfortunetely,he cant do the mapping either but working out my options for now and will probably have him down here to finish the job...
to get my car transported up to fb tuning will cost £300 and i just havent budgeted for this!
