Hi all, my MY2001 Japan Spec STI, silver, 460 kms is on the island

I should be driving it off the lot tomorrow or Wed !!! Anything I should know or do before I drive this beast away ???

I can't wait, I test drove a MY2002 WRX USA version (225bhp) a few weeks ago, it was a sweeet car; however, something tells me that my Jpn spec STI will blow it away

Make sure you run it in before blatting

Keep it on minimum of SUL, if you can add Octane Booster (I recommend NF)

Yup done all the research, planning to do the normal (stay below 4000 rpms) 1000 mile run in (then give it an oil and filter change), then go another 1000 before I redline it. Will give it a 6000 rpm punch every 100 miles up to 1000 miles to make sure the bearings get sunk in good

We can get 97 - 98 RON gas here. The consensus seems to think that 97 - 98 RON is ok. We don't have Millers or NF octane boosters here so I am going to have to get a knock sensor to make sure the 98 RON gas is ok !

OH my Glorrrryyyyyyy......I have just come back from taking a look at my new car....it is unreal !!! The tires and brakes are huge...as big as the 911's I have seen in the USA....the interior looks amazing (the blue seats look incredibel in person, I was worried about the way they looked in pictures but in person awesome !!!!) The way the gear boot sinks in a few inches looks amazing as well.......I have to admit the Jpn MY2001 STI looks so much diff from the USA version WRX MY2002. The lights even look great with the three diff bulbs in the big outer light !!! It is unreal...I can't believe I will be driving it tomorrow !!!

PS: Some scum stole my Gear **** in shipment, new one is all ready on order, will have to drive with the threads digging into my hands for a few days.....they forced the back window down to get in and I am afraid that it may be damaged as well....oh well it will get sorted.....but this car is incredible looking, whomever does not like the look of it must have some very picky taste....or maybe my taste is picky LOL who cares, bottom line is I think it looks unreal and it is mine !!!!!!

May lose all control when I actually get to drive it...LOL
