Granted its speeding - but:

a) It's not massivly excessive
b) Both of us dropped right back before getting too close to the other traffic (doing a good 47ish anyway)
c) It was all in a straight line with good visibility, etc
d) It's a claim by me and could not be proven
e) It's relevant to the storey cause the VTS will keep up reasonably well with a scooby till 60 and he hammered me before we got there, **** knows what would have happened if we'd had more road and a higher speed limit!!!

Just though, I suppose the other way to look at is that your scooby representative was going faster

It's been a year but finally an Scooby driver toyed with me. Pulled up at the lights this morning (40mph road) me in one lane him (silver MY00, non-standard exhaust) in the other. The lights change and we get a wee rolling start thus allowing me some traction (5mph). I click he's going to go and nail it putting him somewhere about my back bumper and then whooosh, the old gal steams past and by the time we had to back off (traffic) we were doing ***THE LEGAL LIMIT*** and he was a good car length in front! Just a shame I didn't get to see her stretch her legs from 60-100mph! **BUT THAT WOULD BE ILLEGAL** It made a really raspy noise though, haven't heard a scooby sound like that before - almost like it had a whole in the exhaust??

Dude - have I read it correctly that you were doing **mph in a 40 limit?? If so it would be wise to edit your post
Regards
Rich
