Default quick question (newage)

nothing important, just wondering what it is??

get in your car (newage) and look at your dash, right at the back where it meets the windscreen there is what looks like a round sensor about the size of a 10p...can anyone tell me what it is and does please?

thanks

I think you are looking at an ambient temperature sensor that relays the temperature back to the climate control. I believe there are some under the dash aswell. Hope this helps ( and that I am right! )

You got an "auto button" on your a/c system mate??

If you have, it's for the a/c to compensate for the heat that exposure to sunlight can have on cabin temps.

Regards
Matt

Just rip it all out, it's extra weight to carry around, and when it gets hot just open your window

It will try to regaulate the temp regardless of a/c function Rob. If the auto setting is switched the climate control will adjust blower speeds and cabiin temp in accordance with the temp setting you put on the right hand dial.
