With the digital bill coming in, it looks like there will be trigger levels of file sharing activity that will result in letters and, further down the line, suspension - but probably only for a week at a time lol.

So, I'm wondering how best to connect and surf anonymously?

I bet we all have similar setups - dynamic IP from the ISP and a DSL model and/or Router.

Anyone using Tor onion routing? what about renting a proxy in another country? how does that work?

Is there a fool proof - you can't track me Jack - way we can do this for £5 or £10 a month? or free?

All the peados and weirdos will have easy access to massive encryption that no one can break...............what a great idea!

So they cut my modem off and off I go to buy a completely anonymous 3G dongle (download limits at the moment but they getting bigger every month) OR I could use one of the many poorly encrypted wifi channels that are near my house OR even one of the unencrypted ones!

Unless the "meeja" companies get the wrong dynamic IP address and demand your details from your ISP and send the police around to your house who then confiscate all of your computers and mobile phones and find that animated GIF of Bart and Lisa Simpson that was downloaded to your Internet cache when someone sent you a "joke" link which then puts you on the sex offenders register as a paedo and you lose your job and your neighbours pour paint stripper over your car and...

But that will never happen, as the "bill" doesn't have a clause in it that allows Mandy and his mates to change the law at will without any further involvement of parliament, er, doesn't it?

That will never happen no matter how BIG this bill gets. Can you really see the police calling at your house to cut you off? They can't even call at a house for a burglary There is no way all this can be enforced as who is going to pay for it? Its fine to say what should happen but lets wait and see The misic industry demanads say £20,000 fines for anyone caught downloading tracks as this is meant to kurb it?? Then why not just walk directly into a shop and steal the item and get say a £100 fine. The whole idea of the digital bill is so wrong and will get sooo much trouble in the next few years.
