just fitted a decat down pipe and noticed i don t have a lamba sensor on my 93 wrx is this needed? On the old pipe some 1 welded it up lol. Oh and now i got a full decat system will engine light come on

u sure boys i noticed it been welded up at top of std headers so def don t need 1 ? and no engine light will come as normally come on after a few hundred miles as thats wot my lupo sport does
The Lambda is in the manifold, deffo, not the downpipe on early cars.
Your talking cat on fire sensor, which is not needed.
Its worth moving the lambda to the post turbo position so i'm told.

na the cat on fire sensor thats at the bottom of the downpipe and theres a hole like valve thing at top of the downpipe so thought it was a lamba sensor so wot is that hole for

top one is for o2 sensor as you stated smaller sensor post cat is egt sensor.you definatley don't need one.haven't got one in mine 
o2 sensor is on o/s bank on manifold as stated so secondary one not required.

it still on manifold poke your head under drivers side and have a butchers
wiring for it runs up front of engine and is attached to timing belt covers,plug/connector is under expansion tank near p/s pipes
