rev limits on type RA???
I read that wrx type ra's rev limiter is 8250 and the sti type ra rev limits at 7500. my ver2 rev limiter is at 7750.
can some1 expalin this? do the ver 1-6 vary anyway? is there a common rule?
i workied out that it does 19mph in 5th gear taking it to 140mph so if some1 else has a different type RA and they do 500rpm more thats nearly 150mph.
thanks in advance

they differ year to year, the sti have higher red lines
mine is a wrx ra and redline is 7,500 but I have been told the limiter is 8250
the sti of the same year is 8000 redline and 8250 limiter iirc
older the car lower the redline and limiter is a good rule of thumb

STi has a higher rev limit and power band than non STi, usually about 400rpm. The V5/6 STi has a red line of 7900rpm with the limiter at 8050rpm, the tacho under-reads by 250rpm at the top end which is why people think they rev higher.
