I thought the strike wasn't to do with fuel prices, but was by the workers of the oil companies about pay or conditions?

Correct, it's to do with pensions and what not, not fuel prices.

The strike is about pensions, but protesters are also planning a blockade to coincide with the strike for maximum effect.

Its about time though. Things are getting ridiculous.

This government are suicidal. They should lower the duty in line with what the rest of Europe pay on average.

FUEL AND TAX PRICE PROTEST

Was interested to read this morning that the government have now made it illegal for HGV's or other vehicles to blockade fuel depots; sneaky little f**kers have amended the terrorism acts to allow them to arrest and charge people who try and do it. So basically, do as we tell you and accept our daylight robbery prices on tax or we'll arrest you. And we live in a democracy do we?
