Thumbs up

Wife just phoned me to say that I'd received a letter from Surrey Police

...to say they're contacting all registered keepers of 'Performance Subarus' in surrey to make sure their vehicles are parked in 'safer' places and armed with anti theft devices.

Everyone here at BMW thought it was a waste of taxpayers money, but I pointed out that nobody's interested in nicking BMWs - too common and too slow (b4 anyone whinges, it's just to wind up the co workers!).

might be a waste of money, but appreciated none the less.

Well, I've heard of stating the obvious and whilst I'm sure this is well intentioned,

a) Are you sure it is actually from the police?

b) Is it in lieu of them not being ar5ed/able to protect your car in any case.

They just can't win can they?

Sorry StuartH and all your "comrades in arms" I wouldn't want your job for all the tea in China. Merry Christmas to all those public servants who'll be looking after us through the coming holiday.

You are appreciated, honest.

Barry K
I don't think you'll be getting one of these letters if they're for Subaru performance cars - you were somewhere in my mirror on the Dales Run.

On the serious side - at least they're being a bit proactive, and it may stop someone being too complacent about leaving their car in a bad place.

Not wishing to get picky Sunil, but I thought Croydon was covered by the Met, and NOT Surrey Police!!

Croydon is covered by the Metropolitan Police not Surrey. That might explain why you haven't had a letter!!

Oh well, guess I must still be registered in Sussex.

Hey, what is registered? Insured address? Or V5? No-one changes the V5 when they move, do they?

Getting mine back tomorrow after almost two months, YIPPEEEEEEEEEE

PS Ed; what colour/door is yours? I might give you a wave if I see you around! (Silver-wheeled Terzo)
