im new here and i recently bought a 98 wrx whilst im pleased with the car it does have a anoying fault at a round 60 mph the speedo goes off and then at 4250 rpm in 5th gear the car just shuts down and will no let you accelerate like its killing fuel or spark it has the box on the back of the speedo to convert it to read in mph im just wondering if the speedo going off would cause the limiter tio come in any ideas ?

 

i am newbie aswell,but talking to boys at the garage about check engine lights(i have 51 wagon wrx),they said if the light is on it will cut the engine revs so you don't mess up you engine.I did see a thread about turning these lights off!
