Sam,

most reasonably modern video players will play NTSC - I know mine will and it is about five years old, and certainly wasn't top of the range!

Naturally, I know of Best Motoring, even had a couple of them. They can be darn good entertainment, and the races are done with topline Japanese race drivers who get pretty serious (that infamous red mist ).

AFAIK they are only available for the local market - ie. only in Japanese and in the NTSC format (a plan to develop English Lang versions fell thru ).

Perhaps if enough people call Dukes about this they will do an English lang version (in PAL - or even DVD... ).

You could always do a run over here for *toys* and vids

Try www.jappit.com
loads of vids available ,option etc .only in ntsc format so you will have to get yourself a cheap multiregion vid about £130.

The VCD used to be available in Chinatown, but it isn't now cos the HK company which has the rights have stopped releasing them since 3/2001.
Dunno abt the vid, I had it specially ordered from a Jap bookstore in HK. The VCD costed HK$35 whereas the vid costs over HK$150.
