Get down to Halfords Andy: they are still doing their 50% uprated bulbs in BOGOF, so for £14 or so, you get a PAIR of award winning bulbs.

The ones you want are in the GOLD boxes, H4.

All H4 bulbs are exactly that, one standard fitment.

Its a tight space behind the headlights.
Sometimes the connector needs a jiggle to remove as well but all in all a 2 minute simple job.

If you replace sidelight as well, remove the screw and pull like a good 'un.
Its held in with a ball socket, putting a little grease on it before replacing will help in the future.

asuming the screw is round the back of the side light? not the one that attached the plastic casing to the metalwork of the car. sorry for the ignorance on this subject

glad the headlights are a two min jobby. will change both at the same time anyway so i know what sort of expectancy to get.

andy

p.s. seen these h4 bulbs on a well known auction site for like £3.99 a pair. are these cheap rip offs or something...

I would think about it 1st M8. Mine failed its MOT on Tuesday cos I'd fitted some cheap 'Blue' bulbs and the beam alignment was all to cokc. Fortunately I had left the original bulbs in the boot and when these were refitted it passed. I might give the Halfords ones a try though.
