Why dont shops carry stock anymore.....??

Why dont shops carry stock anymore.....??
No wonder everyone is buying on the web....
Went down jessops with a pocketful wonga yesterday.
Up to the counter....
Right, "i want a remote shutter release gadget for my XYZ camera...."
"We do three types"
"Great, i only want one"
"erm... just looked we dont have any in stock"
"OK" (slightly pi55ed off and i'd set my heart on coming out the shop with something new)
"What about flashguns.....??? I want one off them)
"we've got these....." (hands me a cruddy looking jessops own brand)
"nice how much is that" £200.00 (after much looking on his PC)
"ok theres a sigma one in the cabinet there, i want one of those for £200)"
"erm... we dont have any in stock and cant sell you the display one"
ok....
right, now desperate to buy something i try again in vain
"OK, i want one of those big "L" lenses that all the press people have on the race circuits"
erm..... we dont keep them in stock.....
i picked up a brochure and left...
i could not spend my money in that shop, can you believe it.....
hope they shut down now, useless ****wits!!!!
mind you, i did come home to find my £50 cashback from canon, so not all bad.
i feel some retail therapy coming on today now.....
shame no one has anything in stock!!!!!!!

yeah, i try and do my best to shop locally where i can, but i was at my wits end yesterday....
and the thought of waiting 3 days for something to arrrive, compared to going somewhere and having it in your hand 2 minutes later is always a dilemma for me.
online it is then... and prolly save a few sheckles on the way too!!!!

Very frustrating!

That's the reason people shop online you tw@t!
Had the same thing when I bought a new TV a couple of years back.....no-one carried any stock and had to wait at least a week for delivery!
Went to Costco in the end, picked one up there and then and saved £300 over all the other "High Street" names too!

Daz, most of the shops round our way have probably been robbed by the chavs last night hence no stock
