As above....looking to get a set of Innovit alloys and most offers start of with a budget tyre....bearing in mind I very rarely get the chance to use the car to its full potential...are these budget tyres suitable for the odd Scooby run etc....been quoted for brands I've never heard of....Fulron, Nexus, Europa etc....any comments..or should I hold out until I can get decent tyres.?
thanks
Paul

depends on what you do with em but I generally had no problems with Europa but not sure about other makes.

I wouldn't use them on a high performance car however, they tend to be recycled or of lower quality material and tend to go pop when driving at high speed.

You get what you pay for

don't skimp on tyres - ever.

not worth it, Toyos are good tyres for reasonable money - budget tyres are lethal in the wet....

Why would you want to put a budget tyre on a performance car?

If you're going to spend money on new wheels, spend the extra & get decent tyres - they're the only things keeping you in contact, & control, with the road....

I've got a set of Ling Long on my scooby, they where on it when I bought the car. Okay in the dry but in the wet it's like skating, some great 4 wheel drifts at stupidly slow speeds around roundabouts. 2 reasons I haven't changed them, I don't do much more than about 2 trips a week in the car, often less, and also I looking to change the wheels so I don't see th point in new tyres on the standard ones at the mo.

If you want a good compromise between perfomance and price get some Falken FK452's, not the budget 512's.

Agree. Tyres are the main thing keeping you on the road and not backwards in hedge. They are the one thing not to skimp on. Get something decent F1s or Toyos. Check them regularly as well. Good tyres with the right pressures are worth more than 100s spent on mods.

I got the budget tyres with my innovit wheels. Granted they aren't as good as the Toyos that were on before but I wanted the wheels there and then and didn't have the dosh to get the decent tyres as well.

Been on 6 months and done 3K. They are OK but not great. I don't do many miles in it at the moment and usually got my nipper in the car so drive slow
