Unhappy here here

started the car up yesterday after 10mins of switching it off so the engine was still warm and after i pulled off there was a whyning noice with a rattle, dorve it about 1mile to get her home and left her till this morning, started her up and still there, the noice is quite loud and coming from the left hand side of the engine, theres no smoke and still runs and idles fine.

Are all the belts in place?

i think so, just soke to dave at API and he recommend i take teh aux belt, power steering belt off and then have a listen just incase the noice is being transmitted, but hopefully it might be the water pump etc

Water pump is driven by the cam belt so if the noise remains after removing the aux. belts, the pump could be a suspect. If so, sort it quick before it seizes and jiggers the cam belt!

took the cam covers off lastnight and found a little 10mm bolt running loose, it hasnt don any damage but gona change the pulley and cambelt.
