Default new owner to be, advice plz!

first of all, hello !

im much a fan of anything fast,my last car was a nicely tuned 300zx Twin Turbo, which has been replaced with a kwaka zx9r....which is now for sale to fund (you guessed it) an impreza

im allowing £3.5-£4K to buy my car. now i know it wont get me a newish impreza, but im looking for a 96/97 hopefully (not bothered if its uk/import).
my question is what advice could you give me in choosing a good one?
im mates with jonoburns (a new member on here) who has some knowledge after owning 2 scoobies but thought i would see what help anyone would offer on here?

thanks in advance guys

wouldnt mind an import. do they have 280bhp as opposed to the 215bhp of uk models or is this just rubbish?

yes a JDM import will be better spec and better performance than a UK - you also get a rear wiper !!!

For Sale, Scooby

Dont know if this has gone yet, noticed it a while ago on my local site. Seems ok for money.

does you think you can get a good import with low miles for 3.5-4k?

as long as i can get one with reasonable mileage (70k or less) i would be happy. dont mind if the bodywork needs a "bit" of tidying up as long as mechanics are sound enough.

well as soon as this bike (zx9r ninja) is sold i shall be on the hunt for a gud un!
