on Saturday, wow what a car, it was full Pro-drive spec (exhaust, suspension, brakes, spoiler).
Shame they offered me such a cr@p p/ex price on the 172, so I am going to have a go at selling it private.
Never been in a scoob before, and I now feel I must get one!

Cool

Danny the big service is due at 36 months/ 45,000 miles whichever is sooner. One of the reasons that the owner is thinking of getting rid of it is because this service is due. I would recommend checking the tyres properly as a the service and a set of tyres is going to cost best part of a grand!

These are expensive cars to run

Surely you can get them to do the 45,000 service before you get it..
I would try saying do the service or I'll walk.
I did that with my RB5 had 13,800 on clock and I insisted they did the 15,000 service, which they did.
How much more can the 45,000 be than the 30,000...
what else is there. they change all the oils then.
Is the cambelt changed @ 45,000 - anyone.....

good luck
steve s

yes, the cambelt is changed at the 45k service.

fewer fluids are changed than at the 30k though... thus the 45k should be a tad cheaper than the 30k (unless brake pads, discs, tyres etc need changing).

however, if the car is old enough (over 36 months) it *should* have had the 45k service already.

if the 45k service is due, you should have room to haggle the price down based on this...

Try Tom @ Schofield 0113 250 0377. Got me best quote by far on my RB5WR.

Be interested to know how much it'll cost paid - mine's just been written off.....

Danny

Just seen this http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...threadid=55043

No idea on condition and have no connection etc etc , but it's got the 45K service. Would need the PPP adding but that's only about 1600 quid.

Just an idea.

Joey Deacon, you really live up to your name mate. How did you get £1000 for a set of tyres? Top rubber ie SO2's/Toyo's should cost no more than £100 a corner fitted etc!!

If you read my post again you will see I said that if the car needs the 45,000 mile service and a set of tyres you are looking at the best part of a grand.

Thumbs up

Danny,

Sounds v. nice.

If its from a Sub dealer make sure they throw the service in as part of the deal.

Because the service is 6mths or 7,500 miles have a look at the service book and check its up to date miles & time wise.

You are gonna love this car

The dealer will chuck in the 45k service! It is not from a subaru dealer though the service will be carriedout by one.
