I think the UK STi is a full production run. The prodrive version may will be limited to a 1000 run. But then 2K for a few extra wings and things seems a lot, IMHO.

yep, got my literature through at the weekend.

Just been on the web and I thought the Prodrive stuff may include some extra tweeking but it seems to be purely spoilers.

Phoned the local dealer re-delivery and he quoted early/mid-Feb with 1000 units of which the majority Prodrive versions (£1500 for a different wing and front bumper - do you get the original ones returned to you?)

John,

Is that 1000 units only, or 1000 unit initially, ie more to come later????

On the Aussie official Subaru site, http://www.subaru.com.au (if you want to look up the new STI click on WRX then STI), it says that the new STI will be a very limited edition for OZ, don't know if that applies to the rest of the world.

Cheers,

Wrexy.

It says on the Subaru Japan website they will only be letting 1000 off Prodrive Styles out of Japan to go to other markets (no time frame given but we can assume MY2002?)

The Prodrive Style is a proper model from the production line, not a UK special edition so you won't get the bits back as there isn't anything to come back (even if they would).

Steve

I think it's reasonably clear.

Prodrive style IS a special edition (limited numbers worldwide)

STi 7 is NOT a special edition. Although don't expect WRX quantities to be available.

As is the case with all manufacturers, the more specialised the model, the lower the production.
